EXPERIENCE  *
2001- Present: StubHub, Inc.
Senior Web Engineer
StubHub.com offers ticketing software and solutions to sports teams, performing artists, media companies, university athletic programs and event producers.

As the only senior developer on a team of six, my primary duties involve application and database design, employee training and mentoring, technical specification authoring and timing assessments and development lead on many of StubHub.com's more ambitious technical endeavors. The e-commerce application responsible for my core duties has seen an almost 50x increase in monthly revenue, in addition to the associated increase in traffic, during my tenure.

Project highlights include:
  • Designed and implemented search engine optimization (SEO) methods that resulted in increased page rank and large jumps in Google search placement for highly competitive phrases in our sector, such as "Buy Britney tickets."
  • Designed and implemented StubHub.com's first ever content management suite using a single point of entry to an XSL/ColdFusion/XML/Oracle system allowing non-technical staff to manage site promotions, system generated emails, site map and SEO content.
  • Designed and implemented caching systems using snapshots of dynamically generated site shells and content while continuing to maintain rapidly changing content integrity.
  • Designed and implemented site search utilizing a custom XSL front end and a small cluster of Google Search Appliances.
  • Technical management and implementation for partner sites including MSN, USA Today, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Rolling Stone, New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Dallas Stars, Los Angeles Clippers, Indiana Pacers, Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Cleveland Indians, Seattle Mariners, FOX Sports, The Sporting News and AOL.
  • Designed and implemented an XML integration for cross-site inventory management with eBay.com.
  • Worked on a team of three employees to transition the StubHub.com from a managed Solaris, iPlanet, ColdFusion 5, Oracle 8 system to a custom, colocated Red Hat Linux, Apache, ColdFusion MX, Oracle 9i RAC environment.
